Baby Shower: "Beary Sweet"
"Beary Sweet", what an adorable theme for a baby shower! I styled this for a friend a while ago and am revisiting the theme for another baby shower. This post includes decorating ideas, 2 diy banners, 2 recipes.
These sweet bears and hearts were made out of remnant fabrics I had laying around, and a linen shirt and a pair of linen shorts that were very old. I stuffed the bears and used ribbon pieces and buttons to embellish the bears.
I turned my sewing efforts into a banner for the backdrop of the dessert table. I found the baking string and tiny clothes pins at Michaels. This was also my gift to the mother. These were the colors of the baby room. She hung it on the wall above the baby's bed.
The main dessert was a strawberry shortcake cake that I frosted and topped with strawberries. Adding the "bears sweet" banner was a sweet touch!!
If you have never made Panna cotta, you need to!!! It is amazingly simply and simply amazing!!! See recipe below.
And look at these adorable shortbread "bear", cookies.
