Wedding Trends for 2015
I am excited about the wedding trends for 2015! What I love about styling weddings for 2015 is creating a look that is representative of the bride and groom that is beautiful and unique.
This inspiration board represents several of the trends.
COLORS: The mint, muted mint, celadon color scheme: This year you will see more muted colors than bright colors. The metalics are also coming back; gold, silver, bronze and copper. Copper is making a big come back.
FLORALS: Florals for bouquets and centerpieces will be more monochromatic with multiple types of flowers creating texture. Also, greens will be adding a more wild, unkept look.
WEDDING DRESSES: There were 2 big trends on the runways; The removeable tulle skirt, cape or train and the off the shoulder dress.
TUXES: Black Tuxes, Kahki, Grey, White are all acceptable depending on the venue and theme of the weeking.
BRIDESMAID DRESSES: Ombre is still popular. Bridesmaids can where dresses that work together with out being identical in style or color. Like the colored panel above, different shades of mint, muted aqua blend beautifully!
STYLES: This year you will see a mixture of rustic and elegant, casual and elegant, craft paper and concentric shapes, hale bales and chandeliers.
THEMES: One of the biggest trends for 2015 is the western theme mixed with sparkle and elegance.
RECEPTIONS: Multiple items for the centerpiece is big this year instead of the traditional single flower arrangement. Items can represent the bride and groom. Try adding a frame with your story of how you met. Long rectangular tables are still a huge hint and look spectacular. Hanging floral arrangements are also a huge hit and will be dependent if your venue will be able to accommadate them.
PARTING GIFTS: Edible parting gifts are very popular.
DESSERT BARS: Dessert bars or candy bars are still very popular! They are fun for your guests and less expensive than a traditional tiered wedding cake.
